Vraak consists of five very different musicians that started playing together at The Norwegian Academy of Music, in the autumn of 2013. Their music is quite varied and difficult to place, but often combines different riffs and lines with lyrics both in norwegian and english. An important musical aspect is how the band combines the timbre of pedal steel with vocal and gitar, and how this instrument affects a musical style where it´s not very traditional. The band make their own music and work together on arranging and exploring their sounds and limits. The music is also strongly affected by the musicians great interest in improvisation.
VeVe is a musical duo project, based on improvised music. Since spring 2014, two musicians (vocal and drum) from different cultural, personal and musical backgrounds have been getting together to explore different musical and artistic approaches and weave them together.
The music they play is the result of this on-going process. Thus it is constantly shifting and unpredictable, even for the musicians selves.
