Stefan Soskic

Stefan Soskic (Šoškić), clarinet player from Serbia, born 1990. in Belgrade. Currently student of master studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH, Oslo) in the class of professors Björn Nyman and Fredrik Fors. He finished his bachelor studies with high grades at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade (Serbia) in the class of professor Ante Grgin. Primary and secondary education he got in music school Stankovic with professors Milan Rajkovic and Milos Geric. 

During his studies, as a soloist, he has won numerous prizes and awards at international competitions, among which are: 
2008 - International Competition Petar Konjovic, Belgrade (Serbia) - 2nd prize 
2009 - International competition of woodwind instruments, Pozarevac (Serbia) - 1st prize 
2009 - International competition Davorin Jenko, Belgrade (Serbia) - 1st prize  
2012 - 42. International Competition Jeunesses musicales, Belgrade (Serbia) – semi finalist 

2008 - 2011. Stefan was a permanent member of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra Borislav Pascan in Belgrade. During his studies, he was a regular member of the Symphony Orchestra of Faculty of Music arts in Belgrade, and honorary member of many professional orchestras: 
The Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Serbian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Camerata Serbica and Serbian Military Orchestra Stanislav Binicki.
Season 2012/2013 he worked in a chamber ensemble of the National Theater in Belgrade (Serbia). 2015. he participated in the project of cooperation between NMH and KORK (Norwegian Radio Orchestra). Stefan attended many master classes and seminars with numerous famous professors and clarinet performers: Ognjen Popovic, Veljko Klenkovski, Yehuda Gilad, Heiner Schindler, Gerald Pachinger, David Griffits, Mate Bekavac, Aleksandar Tasic, etc.He participated in orchestral, chamber and solo projects in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina,Slovenia, Norway. His repertoire includes works from the period of Classicism to modern compositions of the 21st century.The Fund for Young Talents of the Republic of Serbia awarded him the prize Dositeja for 2014.
