New Master Programme for Composing Artists

The Norwegian Academy of Music is part of a new Nordic collaboration that offers a special Master’s Degree Programme for composing musicians.

Joint Nordic Programme

Nordic Master: The Composing Musician is a joint study programme devised by The Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo (NMH), the Academy of Music and Drama at the University of Gothenburg (HSM) and Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen (RMC), as a creative performance specialization, with a focus on composition. The specialization is offered within the Norwegian Academy of Music's Master of Music Performance degree programme.

Study Abroad

Students accepted to the programme will study at all three institutions during four semesters of study:

1st semester: Norwegian Academy of Music (Oslo)

2nd semester: Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen (RMC)

3rd semester: Academy of Music and Drama at the University of Gothenburg (HSM)

4th semester: Norwegian Academy of Music (Oslo)

Additional assemblies will be hosted by each participating institution.

The Nordic Network

The opportunity to take advantage of the specialized expertise of three separate institutions, as well as gain access to a Scandinavian network of contacts in relevant professions and esteemed positions in Oslo, Gothenburg and Copenhagen, is unique to this international partnership programme.
