Zosha Warpeha is an American violinist, vocalist, and composer. Her master studies at NMH include explorations of Nordic folk music, the hardingfele tradition, and the question of how tradition can be preserved and transformed through a contemporary lens. She will perform new compositions inspired by traditional music and contemporary sounds, embracing space, overtones, and sympathetic resonance. This concert is the first glimpse at her master’s project, which includes a collection of original compositions illustrating her journey and search for musical identity in Nordic traditional and contemporary music.
