Concerts Autumn 2021

We have already announced more than 70 concerts – and the number is rapidly increasing. Our students, employees and audiences can enjoy live music again.

We are opening this year's autumn season with the Serendip Festival at Oslo Jazz Festival. If you didn't get enough during Serendip Sessions in March, you are finally given a chance to listen to your favourite bands in real life.

Anniversary and festival

In September, you are invited to our 50th anniversary at Chateau Neuf along with the legendary jazz musician Marilyn Mazur and NMH's big band. September is, of course, also granting us Oslo Kulturnatt and the Ultima Festival, where Christiania Blåseensemble and our composer geniuses contribute.

The classics

Are you hungry for more of the great classics? In October, you are served two Beethoven symphonies in one concert. The Lindeman Awards welcomes you to a celebratory concert with this year's winners – who are still not revealed but guaranteed worthy. There will also be a long-awaited reunion with the popular event series RÅ!, and the Chamber Music Week is back in full force in November.

With a bang

The autumn season offers choir concerts with Vokalensemblet and Kammerkoret, and you can experience Schubert masterpieces such as Winterreise and Schwanengesang. The FOLK event series has returned, and if you burn for one instrument, in particular, you may pick and choose from class concerts with accomplished solo repertoires.

NMH's symphony orchestra ends the season with a bang. They will play Norwegian music such as Halvorsen's grand symphony «Fatum», or faith.

And in between all of this: loads more.
