__utma: Used to distinguish users and sessions.

__utmb: Used to determine new sessions/visits.

__utmz: Stores the traffic source or campaign that explains how the user reached nmh.no.

__utmv: Used to store visitor-level custom variable data.

At nmh.no, information is gathered according to the methods described above.

Purpose of use:

The purpose is to create a better user experience for everyone, not to identity individual users.

Information management:

Cookies have no value by themselves: each merely contains a random identification number. The Norwegian Academy of Music verifies that this information is managed in strict confidence and will only be used for the intended purpose, as stated above. All information is managed in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.
