Norwegian Musical Heritage (Norsk Musikkarv) aims to preserve and make available the classic Norwegian musical heritage in national and international contexts.

It does this through producing quality versions of music from Norwegian composers, conducting research-based editorial practice and producing critical editions, contributing to the development of digital platforms for music editing and publishing and fostering a strong academic environment for music editing in Norway.  Norsk Musikkarv fulfils its purpose through collaboration between scientists, research institutions, composers, conductors, performers, ensembles, orchestras and the National Library.
