About
To kick off the year, our choral conducting class visited Venice and Mantua to take in the sights, sounds and surroundings of some of the most well-known composers of today. One’s interpretation of these works can vastly change when visiting historic landmarks such as the Palazzo Ducale in Manuta or the Basilica di San Marco. Even more special to our study trip was a meeting with history itself; as we toured through the Luigi Nono archives guided by none other than his wife, Nuria Nono-Schönberg, the daughter of Arnold Schönberg. Inspired by our trip, we have created a programme that captures some of this Venetian magic.
