About

Instructors Eva Beneke (Associate Professor in classical guitar), Guro Gravem Johansen (Professor in music education), and Gjertrud Pedersen (Associate Professor in music history) wish to contribute to new ways of conveying music history and musical practices in the development project "Challenging the musical canon." They are hosting the concert that spans from romantic lieder and contemporary music to folk music and jazz performed by students and teachers from the Norwegian Academy of Music.

The music has been created by composition students and historical as well as contemporary composers and tradition bearers, namely Clarice Assad, Carla Bley, Ingvill Marit Buen Garnås, Helena Søgaard Gloslie, Fanny Hensel, Marie Lillesand Høgestøl, Tine Surel Lange, Caroline Lizott, Sigyn Sjølie Sandegren, and Clara Schumann.
