On 13 March 2022, it has been two years since Norway entered its first lockdown. The pandemic has added new dimensions of insecurity and creativity to musical life.

The world premiere of the work Piano Diary 20/21 is performed by instructors and students at the Norwegian Academy of Music – along with short comments from the composer about everything from challenges about writing new music to handling the pandemic and the musical life's response to it. It is about humour and playfulness, unity, loneliness and self-pity – and the ability to create, work and goals in an uncertain time.
