Trio Primavera became a scholarship holder of the project "MUZIKA VISIEMS" in 2021, so the young music professionals are constantly travelling and presenting their music to people. The three young and energetic performers have been successfully performing at renowned music festivals and concert halls throughout Lithuania.
– Our concert program mainly consists of original works for this kind of chamber group. We enjoy showing our interpretation of pieces by Matti Murto, Philippe Hersant, and Bernard Cavanna. Besides that, we love giving the audience some musical surprises in the shape of musical transcriptions, such as music by Ástor Piazzolla and highly respected Lithuanian composer Eduardas Balsys, the trio say themselves.
About
In 2018, the accordionist Povilas Neliupšis was awarded by the President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite for his active concert and artistic activities, the project "100 Concerts for Lithuania", the aim of which was to perform 100 musical performances throughout the country within a year. Povilas has promoted the name of Lithuania in countless national and international competitions in Latvia, Poland, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Switzerland and China. Currently, he regularly studies with Elsbeth Moser, a renowned professor at the Hanover Academy of Music. Povilas has a very unique choice of concert programmes - his virtuosic side is brought out by impressive baroque transcriptions, while his lyrical nature is conveyed by performing and promoting the music of Lithuanian composers. Although Povilas is an accomplished soloist, he is also an admirable chamber music performer, who can be heard playing with both accordions and string quintets. He is also the founder of the chamber Trio Primavera (violin, cello and accordion). Povilas is studying at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in the class of Prof. Raimonds Sviackevičius.
Violinist Monika Sapiegaitė is a laureate of many national and international violin and chamber music competitions. Monika's musical talent and stage sensitivity were noticed in kindergarten, where her love for music was born. Although today Monika's technical abilities are at a very sophisticated level, you can still hear that childlike joy and wonder in her interpretations of the works she plays. Despite her many diplomas and prizes, Monika is most proud of becoming a soloist with the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts Symphony Orchestra and the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra. Monika is currently studying at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in the violin class of Prof. Rūta Lipinaitytė.
While still at school, cellist Vaiva Sodaitytė has won a number of important awards at prestigious cello competitions and festivals in Sweden, Luxembourg, Norway, Italy, Croatia and Bulgaria. With her style, choice of repertoire and stage expression, the performer, who destroys all boundaries between classical music and today's listener, has already performed as a soloist of the Kaunas Symphony Orchestra. Vaiva's talent was also noticed by the directors of the New Ideas Chamber Orchestra, the VMU Chamber Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, as a result of which she has enriched the sound of the cello, reaching the depths of the soul in those orchestras. Today Vaiva develops her musical talents in the class of Maestro Edmundas Kulikauskas.
