Sivert Runhovde
Singer, guitarist, and songwriter Sivert Runhovde is in his second year of FRIBA at the Academy. Sivert has released music with his own and others' projects since 2016, including as a solo artist under the pseudonym Lukas Claude and, most recently, under his own name. In 2023, he released his first album titled "Sivert Runhovde". At the Academy, he focuses on writing songs within Norwegian folk and arranging the music for acoustic instruments. This evening, you will hear Sivert perform brand-new songs in the format in which they are written—solo with his acoustic guitar.
Alkul
Alkul Duo consists of vocalist Björg Blöndal and electric guitarist Thorkell Ragnar. Coming from Iceland, the group presents a mix of original compositions and Icelandic folk music. They strive to write minimalistic and simple music whilst challenging the norm, searching for different sounds and textures within improvisation. Their music could be described as dark, gloomy and hauntingly heavy yet playful, with colorful and strong melodies.
