Synnøve Sætre Hveem is a Assistant Professor in ear training at NMH and Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences, and has previously taught ear training, singing and choir at several different high school music departements in eastern Norway. She has a degree in music education with singing as her main instrument from NMH, and then a master's degree in ear training at the University of Tromsø. Since then, in addition to teaching, she has conducted several choirs in Oslo, including the recruits of The Norwegian Girls’ Choir and Vålerenga Male Choir, as well as being a soloist with several choirs both in Norway and abroad. She sings regularly with the Norwegian Women's Choir and the Norwegian Soloists Choir, and is also an active folk singer. She is regularly used as a course instructor in various contexts, in addition to giving lectures at conferences both in Norway and abroad.
