In November, PRAXIS was launched on the NMH website! PRAXIS is a resource bank that conveys experiences and resources from pedagogical development work and the development of higher music education.

Projects

PRAXIS was created by the Center for Excellence in Music Performance Education (CEMPE) and currently consists of texts, articles, videos, and more, conveying projects and work done as part of CEMPE.

For example, read about principal instrument teachers' investigations into group teaching methods, development projects on practice, research-based education, student initiatives for new subjects, and summaries of debates on mental health, diversity, teaching methods, musician roles, and more.

Video Resource Bank

PRAXIS also includes the video resource bank Skuba: a low-threshold introduction to artistic development work for students and staff.

Skuba is the result of a Scandinavian collaboration and consists of short videos lasting 3-7 minutes, created by peers in Scandinavia, covering various key topics in artistic development work.

Podcast

On PRAXIS, you can also listen to the podcast Konservatoriumspodden and read about CEMPE's ten years as a Centre for Excellence in education.

PRAXIS will continue to be a resource for NMH and higher music education even after the lifespan of CEMPE, serving as a platform where experiences and resources from pedagogical development work at NMH can be shared.
