External, Collaborative, Integrated Project

– building cross-disciplinary, team-based and society-oriented learning and teaching practices

The project intends to map and disseminate a new cross-disciplinary and collaborative semester project at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory (RMC), which targets external partnerships through a cross-disciplinary team-based teaching approach.

The course, abbreviated as ECIP (External, Collaborative, Integrated Project) is a result of RMC's strategy to direct the education towards a broader and more societal orientation for artistic practice and is launched in the academic year 2022-2023.

The semester thus aims to converge the various subject areas of the education into a fully integrated 30 ECTS semester project, which opens up for more flexible boundaries between the creative, performative, pedagogical and entrepreneurial course aspects.

The holistic approach has an overall purpose of integrating the competencies acquired in the education towards the development of a broad and dynamic understanding of how to unfold a sustainable artistic and artist-pedagogical career.

The central learning outcome of the ECIP module is thus to develop the student's competencies to be able to actively frame, articulate and implement artistic and/or art pedagogical actions and collaborate through projects within and across social sectors and professional disciplines that raise questions, create value, unleashes potentials and contributes with new perspectives and solutions.
