Trond Reinholdtsen: The Norwegian Opra

Trond Reinholdtsen has established a complete opera house presenting more than ten new "opras" , a new genre liberated from the grey and sturdy history of the opera.

Field of study: Artistic Research

Summary

Research fellow Trond Reinholdtsen's project The Norwegian Opra is a project of synthesis: balancing between - or encompassing both - creative praxis (the role of the composer) and performance (he is trained as a professional singer as well). The project could simply be described as reflections on how to leave the ivory tower and get dirt on hands.

Documentation

The full title of the project is Den norske opra.
