Both Einar Steen-Nøkleberg and Geir Henning Braaten are turning 80 this year. They both have long tenures at NMH as piano instructors, and parallel international careers as concert pianists. Their time as musical colleagues stretches even further back to when they had the same teacher in their teenage years, Nikolai Dirdal. Back then, they accompanied each other in piano concerts at student gatherings. Now they will share the stage again and tackle Busoni's very demanding piano music for two pianos.
