Installations throughout the day

Associate Professor Lisa Dillan, dancer Anne Panda Gjems Rudi

The three-year long research project "Å forsvinne uten å forsvinne" explores improvisation across genre and style. In the Vortex Space, you can find the project's installation, "The Distillery", which contains material from the first year of the project, including a vinyl and CD of "Jorda", as well as a QR code to an app taking you on a journey. In addition, you can listen to an improvised moment at 17:00, with a following conversation.

Research Fellow Anja Lauvdal, video artist and musician, Jenny Berger Myhre, and others

“Havgaver” is a nature-themed commissioned work, and in the Vortex Space, we are given a glimpse of it through a video projected onto the wall, accompanied by a text fanzine on display in the reading nook.

About

You are welcome to spend as much time as you like in the Vortex Room during opening hours. Throughout the day, you will encounter both small and large concerts, open group conversations, discussions, and a variety of installations and presentations—featuring contributions from across the Academy, as well as guest participants. There will be breaks of about 15 minutes between each part of the programme.

See the project site of Vortex Space. There, you can find more information about the project, as well as photos and videos from different events.
