Candidate Survey 2024

How do music graduates do after completing their studies? what do they work with, how do they thrive and how do they assess the relevance of their education?

In August and September 2024, everyone who has completed a bachelor's or master's degree in performance or music creation at a Norwegian music education institution will be invited to participate in the Candidate Survey 2024.

More than ten years since the previous survey

It's been more than a decade since the last such survey was conducted, and both the national and international context and labour market have changed a lot since then.

Why conduct a candidate survey?

With this survey, we aim to obtain an updated knowledge base about what it's like to work as a musician today, to make our music programmes more relevant to the working life our students will enter.

The suryey is conducted by Telemarksforskning.
