Exchange Programmes

The Norwegian Academy of Music is proud to serve as a welcoming home away from home for visiting and international students from more than 40 countries.

This page is for students interested in long-term exchange at the Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH).

Through Erasmus+, IN.TUNE, or a bilateral agreement between NMH and your home institution, you can study at the Academy for one or two semesters and receive credits that are recognised as part of your degree at your home institution.

Course catalogue

In the online application system, you will be asked to list the courses you wish to take at the Academy (“Study Plan”).

Below, you can find the standard course structure for the various study programmes available to incoming exchange students.

Use this overview to familiarise yourself with the course options offered to exchange students. If you are admitted, you will have the opportunity to apply for elective courses.

If you are interested in programmes other than those listed above, please contact NMH’s International Office before submitting your application.

How to apply for exchange at NMH

If you are interested in studying at the Norwegian Academy of Music as an exchange student, your first step is to contact the international coordinator or office at your home institution. You can read more about the steps and requirements below.
