The project examines master’s concerts and the final artistic presentations at the Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH) in three selected years: 2004, 2014, and 2024, with an emphasis on the gender, cultural affiliation, and geographical representation of the composers.
The project has two components. Part one involves a quantitative mapping of the repertoire performed at master’s concerts and final artistic presentations at NMH in 2004, 2014, and 2024. The results will be presented in a peer reviewed article to be published in spring 2027.
In part two, the mapping is supplemented by qualitative interviews with former students and conversations with selected NMH staff.
In spring 2027 we will arrange a seminar for NMHs students and staff to present and discuss the results of the mapping and the interviews.
