Karette Stensæth is a professor of music therapy and the leader of the Center for Research in Music and Health (CREMAH) at the Norwegian Academy of Music. As a centre leader, she works with developing projects and research collaborations. Recently, she has been heavily involved in projects with people with dementia. Stensæth is behind several national and international publications, including articles, books, and anthologies. Her interest in the world of Mikhail Bakhtin's ideas has motivated her writing. Stensæth has more than 20 years of practical experience as a music therapist with children and young people in vulnerable situations.
