A library is a public space where you borrow, learn, share, and play. The performance resonance / resonate aims to bring these ideas into the concert hall. Perhaps you'll discover new and rewarding ways to listen? Can you listen to music upside down? Does the sound change if you "pop" your ears? If you open your mouth? If you think about flowers?
This concert features a wide range of entirely new works by young composers, performed by young musicians. Enjoy 90 minutes of everything from soothing harmonies to experimental, performative music. Come, ask questions, challenge yourself, or simply sit back and enjoy the music, with the bustling library as the backdrop.
Resonance / resonate will be followed by a performance of the electronic piece L’île re-sonante by French composer Éliane Radigue (1932–).
Curated by Åsmund Erichsen, Fredrik Strand Blichfeldt, and Wei Ting Tseng. In collaboration with the Norwegian Academy of Music, Institut français de Norvège, and Deichman Bjørvika.
