Harpist Lara Macri is celebrated for her versatile musical talents, excelling as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra player, enchanting audiences across Europe.

She performs standard classical repertoire as well as contemporary and experimental music, exploring new horrizonts for her instrument.

In 2023, Lara made her soloist debut in Norway, performing the R. Gliere harp concerto with the Norwegian Radio orchestra KORK. She further enriched the Scandinavian musical scene performing as a soloist at the Stavanger and Gothenburg Harp Festivals.

Lara is in high demand as an orchestra player, collaborating with prestigious ensembles such as the Oslo Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic Stockholm, Göteborgs Symfoniker and others. She was appointed principal harpist for the 2019/2020 season of the Tiroler Landstheater Innsbruck orchestra in Austria and earlier, she successfully won harp internship positions with the Staatsorchester Braunschweig and Bochumer Symphoniker in Germany.

Lara’s engagement in exploring new textures in the harp writing has led her to collaborations with contemporary composers. In 2015, she recorded pieces by Marco Podda (1963 - *) for solo harp and ensemble, a world premiere recording released by TACTUS. A forthcoming album with SOFA MUSIC will feature Lara performing experimental music by Andrea Giordano (1995 - *) alongside the Àlea ensemble. The album release is scheduled for 2024.
