Tuition fee

The Norwegian Academy of Music charges tuition fees to international students with citizenship from outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland.

The tuition fee for students from outside the EU, EEA, and Switzerland is 220,000 NOK per academic year for performance studies at NMH.

The tuition fee must be paid in full by June 1st before the start of the following academic year. It is not possible to pay the tuition fee in instalments. Students who have not paid the tuition fee by the deadline will automatically lose their study rights at NMH.

Unfortunately, NMH does not offer any scholarships to cover tuition fees.

If you belong to one of the groups below, you can apply for an exemption from the tuition fee.

Please note that students belonging to one of these categories are also exempted from the requirement to pay tuition fees: 

• Exchange students from NMH’s partner universities. 
• Students starting their studies before the autumn of 2023.
