The faculty encompasses a wide range of styles and approaches. The students’ own initiative and musical preferences very much help define the department’s identity and the contents of the study programme. Musical judgement and awareness of artistic decisions are developed through coaching, dialogue and performance of the students’ own works.
The academy wishes to foster innovation and individual development. The aim is to create independent composers with wide-ranging skills in the field of art music and to give the students practice and experience to enable them to thrive in the commercial sector.
